A gift for a friend. The background is close to his home farm in South Island New Zealand. The three women moved from the UK to make a home half way round the world. The photo of them was in black and white, the photo of the land was in colour. It occurred to me that I wanted to celebrate both, that these women lived in colour, but that they would have donned their finest clothes for the portrait.
